“Our expertise in Replacement Windows is evidenced not only by our 25 years in business, our teams of skilled installers, our stunning showrooms and knowledgeable representatives, but in the decades of satisfied customers who have come to expect nothing but the best”
Local market leader for over 25 Years
Covering London and the Home Counties, we are proud to have innovated and led our local market in residential home improvements for over 25 years.
Our latest generation Window showrooms in Hampton Court, Cheam Village and Worcester Park are arguably one of the most modern and comprehensive showrooms you will see today with a fabulous contemporary “cafe style” environment where our customers are free to explore their range of aluminium, pvcu, timber and other products in a relaxed no pressure environment.
Our wide range of Home Improvement Products include windows in aluminium, pvcu, timber and hybrid, Crittall Replacement Windows, patio doors, and sliding folding doors.
The range also extends to Glazed extensions, orangeries, traditional and contemporary sash windows in pvcu and aluminium, Bygone sash windows, entrance doors, composite doors and many more technologically advanced and traditional products to suit all properties.
Having carried out thousands of installations they clearly prove how, in a competitive market, it is possible to surge ahead with increased performance and customer service year on year.
There are over 9000 Fensa Registered Companies and approximately 13000 window companies in the UK today. To be listed nationwide as one of the top 500 is an excellent achievement for us and one which we are very proud.
Customers are safe in the knowledge that they are dealing with a professional, reputable company or long standing.
Commercial installations are carried out by Professional Windows (of which Cheam Windows are in the same Group of Companies) who have recently completed a five year contract for Barnet Homes and have secured yet more significant social housing and commercial contracts.
As demand for the R9 has gathered so much momentum in the last year we’ve become increasingly aware of how some companies are offering them using different, cheaper manufacturing techniques.
Naturally we wish to highlight this for the risk of making what is already a premium product seem comparatively expensive.
The whole ethos behind the R9 is to produce a very close replica of a 19th Century timber casement window whilst utilising the benefits of a modern PVCu window.
As far as we are concerned, that means using a timber ‘butt-joint’ on the frames and sashes that looks period-correct.
In the past few weeks, we have seen a modern chamfered and welded joint that you would see on a typical contemporary PVCu window – a technique that was never employed on timber windows of this period!
We completely understand why other companies are using this technique as it makes a substantial saving on manufacturing time and costs – the R9 is a premium product and we believe that using manufacturing short cuts to reduce it’s price is a mistake and could potentially mislead customers.
Residence R9 Window From Cheam Windows
Cheam Windows will not provide a welded, chamfered R9 to reduce the costs of this window – our R9 will always use butt joints.
Again, when we see customers falling in love with the R9 we try our very best to keep our prices as competitive as possible but not by downgrading this particular product.
